Job Description:
· Reporting to the Managing Director and based in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for;
· Leading the implementation of the Company’s HSE strategy and related interventions so as to achieve the Company’s HSE objectives and targets, and continually improve its HSE performance
· Development, implementation and control of strategy.
· Change management. Provide a SHE consulting and advisory service to the Company’s stakeholders
Key Areas of Responsibility:
· Develop and implement a HSE strategy for Murray & Roberts Projects.
· Build the credibility and value of the HSE discipline across the Company.
· Maintain positive relations with other executives and functional members.
· Ensure HSE governance and regulatory compliance across the Company.
· Co-ordinate and enhance the Company’s HSE management system, policies and procedures; and the implementation thereof.
· Prepare reports on the SHE strategy implementation and the Company’s HSE performance.
· Co-ordinate and participate in investigations into serious HSE incidents, such as disabling and fatal injuries.
· Provide a HSE consulting and advisory service to the Company’s stakeholders.
· Auditing Experience (Technical) – QA, preferably ISO 9001 certificated auditor
· Maintenance / set-up / upgrading experience of a Business Management System
· Corrective Action monitoring and rectification experience.
· Non Conformance Reporting management
· Experience in QC eg selecting hold points, compliance inspection, etc.
· Annual budgets and intermediate budgets control for quality function
· Man-hour estimating for Quality on projects for bids
· Mentor / Review performance of Quality personnel
· Input into development of Quality systems
· Input into recruitment of Quality personnel
· Lead ISO 9001:2008 re-certification for MRP
· Provide input into ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001 triple certification going forward.

· Focus on delivering results and achieving goals.
· Excellent presenting, writing and other communication skills in more than 2 languages.
· A relevant Degree or Higher National Diploma.
· Relevant Professional Registration.
· Technical Qualification, preferably ISO 9001 lead auditor.
